About me

Who am I?

I am a Senior Computer Science student at Florida International University(FIU). I currently work as a Software Developer Researcher at FIU. We are partnered with Miami Children's Hospital and are developing a Mobile Application to evaluate, assist, and measure the progression of children with ADHD. I have also worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Omnics Informatics (Summer 2023) and have multiple personal projects in the following areas: Web Development and Mobile Development, Game Development, and AI Engines.

I am someone who genuinely loves to study, learn, and create. As an intern at Omnics Informatics, I developed an interface to facilitate user interaction with our software HDX Workbench. It connects directly to a pipeline, allowing users to see their pending projects and download the sample analysis as a compressed tar.gz file. Secondly, it accepts the download tar.gz file and creates a Jtable with the main details of each file, allowing the user to sort, look up, and unzip the desired file to a chosen destination. Netbeans, Java, Okhttp, GSON, OOP, Data Structures.

Additionally, I have research experience in Singular Value Decomposition for discovering Latent Variable Patterns in Hotel user reviews. I've served as a Miami Dade College Mathematics Tutor and as a Professor's Assistants in Calculus 3, honing my analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

BlockUdoku Solver

My Experience

You are witnessing is my second Back-end project and my best project by far! An Engine solver for BlockUdoku capable of beating a human in the game.

Project Summary

This project utilizes 2D arrays to represent a board, linked lists to define each piece, Clonable interfaces to iterate through possible boards, statistical methods to update our algorithm, and much more! You can find all the information on the read-me file at the GitHub link.

Multi-player Chess Game Java

My Experience

I am an avid chess player, chess enthusiast, chess scholar, and at some point, a chess streamer on twitch. I love chess! Its complexity and variations make it the perfect game; this project was meant to be!

Chess Game Summary

This project uses 2D arrays to represent the board, Hash Functions for data validation, Stacks to take back plays, Singleton Patterns for data persistence, and many algorithms for each piece and its movements derived through cartesian coordinates.

Game Development C#

My Experience

I studied game development for roughly three months. During this time, I completed two courses for Unity with C#. In addition, to numerous tutorials and practice, I also created various unique games, helping develop my coding skills.

Some of My Games

I have experience in creating 2-D and 3-D games similar to Mario. This means games where players can beat different levels, collect coins, purchase characters or items, and combat. Most of my games are mobile-friendly and follow your finger touch.

Android Mobile Development

My Experience

I currently work as a Mobile Research Developer at Florida International University. At my job, I code in React-Native with Expo Go. I also studied mobile development for roughly three months as part of the Google Career Certificate program. In this program, I learned how to use Android Studio for mobile development and the Kotlin language.

Applications

Some of the applications I created in Android Studio were Tipping apps, Calculators, Dice Rollers, Quiz Apps (similar to Kahoots), and lots of practice with view binding to allow for applications with scrollable features identical to Instagram.

Methods to Facilitate Calculus

Premise

Nationwide between 25% to 30% of students who take Calculus for the first time fail. Even failing rates of 40% in a class are not unusual. Hence, is there a better way to learn Calculus? Could our books be wrong, not conceptually but on how they unfold? Could we simplify the data into a set of concepts and reinforce them to facilitate Calculus?

My Contribution

For this project, I decompressed the idea of limits, derivatives, and integrals into three separate booklets to help aid the conceptual learning of Calculus one. These booklets are now available for students at Miami Dade College at no cost!
